BOSTON IN MARCH 2024
The destination was Boston. This was information I wasn’t privy to while it was being plotted by my two daughters. Originally, this was a place they wanted to go to see the history behind the birth of this great Nation. Eventually this became a family affair and the plane tickets and dates were set. The statue on the left is Samuel Eliot Morison, and the statue to the right is Abigail Adams.
The Brookline Avenue bridge spanning the Massachusetts Turnpike behind Fenway Park is named after David Ortiz “Big Papi”. During the pregame ceremony of his last regular season game before retiring, the announcement was made. The street was also named David Ortiz Drive.
